Maitri arrived in a saree. Not a casual choice, a deliberate one. She had planned the outfit carefully, and when you stand at Shoreline Park as the light drops and the lake picks up the sky, a saree is exactly the right thing to be wearing.
This was a well-planned session and it showed, in the best way. They had thought about what they wanted it to feel like. Darshan matched her energy. We shot for an hour, they changed outfits, and we kept going. Some of the most distinct images I have made at that location came from that evening.
Shoreline Park gets overlooked by people chasing the more obvious Bay Area spots. The light there in the evening does not care about being overlooked. It just does what it does.
